Sony Launches First Tablet Devices S1, S2

Sony unveiled the company's first tablet PC products on April 26, 2011 in Tokyo, according to the Reuters. Dubbed S1 and S2, the new devices are reported to both run on Android 3.0 operating system and support 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) connection. The S1 is equipped with a 9.4-inch screen, and the S2 is designed to have two 5.5-inch screens that can be folded together like a book, according to the same source. Sony's tablet PCs are scheduled to be sold worldwide around September this year, but prices of the devices are not yet announced.
